Exporting a Report with a Memo Field to Excel

Running Office 2003 SP3 on XP Pro SP2.

When I export a Report manually via File / Export from Print Preview, if
the Report has a Memo Field, it is truncated to 255 characters. Does
anyone know of a fix for this issue? Could not find anything in MS
Knowledge base or when I Googled the issue although there seems to be tons
of users with the same issue. Can't believe MS has ignored this issue.

Is DoCmd acExport the only solution at this time?
