When exporting from a 97 database to excel 2003,
formatting of date column is lost. Any suggestions?

What do you mean by 'exporting'? Excel 2003 reads Excel 97 .XLS workbooks
directly. Are you opening an .XLS workbook last saved using Excel 97 in
Excel 2003? What was the Excel 97 date format?

Any chance that the windows date format changed and xl was using your windows
date format in both pc's?

(This question makes a lot more sense if you have xl97 on one pc and xl2003 on
another?)

Windows start button|settings|Control panel|Regional settings Applet|Date tab

is how I would check my windows date format in win98.

I am exporting an Access 97 database into an Excel 2003 worksheet.
