Export OE Address Book to Outlook?

R

Russ Franke

We have just added a new machine and it is running XP Pro
with Outlook. Problem is we need the e-mail address book
from our old system on the new one. The old system runs
XP Home using Outlook Express. Outlook will not allow me
to Import the exported address book from the old machine.
Any suggestions?

Export the wab from Outlook Express to a pab-file (Personal Address Book)

Then import this pab-file into Outlook

I have tried both a WAB and a PAB and outlook will not
import either. Outlook is 2000 and OE is XP Home.

What steps do you take to import and what error do you get?

I got the file moved using a "csv". Now I need to know
if I can get the groups moved from OE to Outlook.

You need to add the personal address book service to your mail profile in
OL2k and then point it at the .pab file - then you can import to Contacts.
