Hello,

Sorry about the stupid question but I just can't work out
how to do it!

I have seen a long list of all Local Group Policy settings
exported to an Excel spreadsheet which can then be printed.

When I try to export the policies using the Export List
option under the Action menu of the Group Policy MMC snap
in, all I get is the headings of whatever bit of the tree
is currently visible. How do export the complete list of
all the policies and their settings?

Thank-you for your help.

Lisa

From within GPEDIT, choose the actual branch of restrictions that you want
to export. For example, Start Menu and Taskbar. Going to the higher level
branches, doesn't appear to allow exporting.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the response. I guess I wasn't missing
something after all!

Thanks again,

Lisa

Not as far as I can see. It would appear to me, though, that GPEDIT is
missing something :)

This is not easily done, and certainly not in one step.
Follow Doug's advise. If you own W2k3 and have
an Active Directory look into features of GPMC,
but even there you would have to do some tweaking
to get a raw listing of all policies.
The lady at MS that generated the Excel spreadsheet,
if you are speaking of the new XP/W2k3 generation
listing, did this with an application, and it only covers
the adm templates.
