Export from Xnews to Agent

Hi Everyone,

I used to use XNews and Agent for reading text files and I have a large number
of Usenet posts collected in the Xnews Database.

I now only use Agent for offline text reading. Is there any software that will
allow me to import Xnews data into Agent?

I have searched using Google and found a mail importer but not Usenet posts.

Which Agent are you using ? Does XNews use standard UNIX file
formatting ? Doesn't XNews have an "Export" function ? Have you
tried copying an XNews folder into the Agent data directory ?

With 3.0 I would expect such a directory to be shown in your
"Sampled Groups" desk. A new IDX file should be created by
Agent.

If that doesn't work then ask your query in ;

alt.usenet.offline-reader.forte-agent

Then come back here and tell people what worked. In case others
want to do the same.
