export contacts using categories

how does one export (preferabley to excel) a set of contacts using a specific
category (or categories)? I"m using outlook 03

You can't. You'd need to put those Contacts into a separate Folder in order
to export them, which is certainly easy to do.

I tried making another contacts folder to drag the items to but following
the help/wizard instructions, I'm told that I can make a new sub folder in a
default folder -- if you've an easy to do it, I'd very much apprecitate the
instructions
