I've been noticing for days that any window I open (folders or IE) and then
close, it will not remove from the start menu bar. I've ran Windows update
(all updated), virus scan (Trend Micro all updated), scandisk (full), defrag
(found Microsoft antispyware log file of 4gb and would not defrag), all will
no problems except for defrag. I uninstalled and deleted all files and then
redownloaded the spyware (which expired in July) and installed and ran it
will nothing detected.

I've submitted the error and it came back will the general unknown problem
and try all the above that I've done, but the problem is still there.

Anybody got an idea what to try next?

Can you give specifications at your computer? Ordinary symptom if your
computer is too slow for Windows XP.

I've disabled all IE Addons and this fixed the problem. I turned them on one
by one and found the MSN Toolbar at fault, but not the toolbar helper.

Computer just fine as for speed 3.0ghz w/2gb DDR2 and 256mb video card.

I guess I was wrong. While I was reading other posts I closed this and found
it still sitting the start menu bar. Now all MSN is disabled and I opened
and closed several applications and IE and found nothing left behind after
closing them.
