A friend has this message showing up on his PC - any ideas as to what might
be the cause?

if you continue to have problems try restarting your computer

You can delete files starting with ~ and ending in .tmp, so that would be
the first thing to do.

Try it in Safe Mode.

Problem solved.

I told him to download and run Adaware. He "only" had 400 files. Once
removed the error message was no longer there.
