How do I cause Internet Explorer to open Maximized
whenever I open an Explorer window. Now when I do the
window is always minimized and I have to expand it.

For the initial window, Start>Programs>Internet
Explorer>right-click>Properties>Run>Maximized.

Chris that doesnt help his problem at all.
if you are opening IE from the quick launch its easy, right click on the
ie icon and select properties ant you should get a page with some boxes
marked
Target:
Start in:
Shortcut key:

In the run drop down menu choose Maximised and click ok

If you take the time to read it it doesnt offer a complete solution that
solution is a per opening solution something you have to d everytime you
open it it doesnt say that it will permanently change the settings to
always open maximised

That is not maximised , that is merely enlarged or expanded or resized, or
whatever you want to call it. Maximised means just that, and Pedro's answer
works just fine. The question was, " How do I cause Internet Explorer to
open Maximized"
You are right QuickLaunch does not have much to do with it but Right
clicking on the IE icon in the quick launch task bar does. Why dont you try
it before mouthing off.
