Explorer view changes

My default setting of Windows Explorer View is "Details".
However, regularly, the view will change to "Icons" when I
click the Explorer window. Does anyone have any idea what
the cause can be?

Control Panel > folder options
View tab
"Remember each folder's view settings" check box.

I did. Somehow, this settings gets overruled

The Default for Windows XP is to remember the view settings for the 400 most
recently used folders.
Increase Folder View Options Limit: (Line 2):
