Hi,

I've got a PC set up on an active dir network.

Various users will be logging into the PC, so of course I need all th
basic shortcuts to be stored in the "all users" profile.

All shortcuts work, except internet explorer which I have configured i
administrator, and when in administrator the ie shortcut works fine.

However when I log on as a user, and try to use the internet explore
shortcut I created, the LAN configuration settings which I set i
administrator, have disappeared... (so the shortcut isn't retainin
the required set configuration)

that being the case, if only one user was going to use the PC I'd jus
configure explorer in that users profile... but as I said many peopl
will log on to the PC so that can't be done...

Anyone got any ideas...

Cheers.

It can be done with Group Policy.
In MMC add the Group Policy SnapIn. Go to Local Computer Policy, User
Configuration, Windows Settings, Internet Explorer Maintenance, and
Connection.
BTW the best way to set up a pc for several users to have the same settings
is to set up a profile the way you want it to be and then copy it to the
Default User profile. Then every profile created after that will be the
same.
