Is there any way to set the default view for Explorer to be for example the
"List" view or the "Thumbnails" view and for all sub-folders? I thought this
was an option, but can find no way to do so.

I'm using Win XP.

Many thanks in advance.

I'm using Win XP.

1. Open an Explorer window such as My Computer.
2. Use the View menu to set the window the way you want it.
3. Use the Tools menu>Folder Options>View tab and click the button that
says "Apply to all folders" (I'm paraphrasing). You'll get a dialog box
that says subsequent windows will open like this. Apply/OK out.
