Explorer problem

Hello all, first timer here.
When I use Win explorer in Vista Ultimate, and click on a folder in the left
pane, it opens the folder full screen and wont show me the left pane anymore
so I can't drag&drop from the open folder to another folder.
What am I doing wrong?
Also, the back button only goes back to desktop.ini

Well that didn't work. As soon as I clicked on the navigation icon it
immediately went to the screen that has desktop.ini.
Guess I'm dumber than I thought. This is Vista Ultimate if that makes a
difference.

Got it!! Tried unchecking " menu bar" And it works fine now. Thanks for
trying. I wouldn't have looked there without your thoughts.

Download and install FreeCommander or Xplorer2 Lite , both of which
use dual panes ( both can also use single panes ) , which makes drag
and dropping much easier .
