Explorer opens in small window only

Hi,
Can anyone tell me why my IE6 opens in a small window all
the time? It used to open in a full screen window but now
only opens in a small window. I can then open to full
screen, but it is frustrating.
Any suggestions?

1. Open a link.
2. Don't use the maximize button.
3. Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
4. Close all other IE windows.
5. Close the stretched window last.

However, the above procedure is not equivalent to SHOWMAXIMIZED API call.
Best option is to use "IE New Window maximizer"
