Hi,

Scan the system for malware, these can help:

AdawareII www.lavasoft.de
Spybot www.safer-networking.org

From MVP Richard Harper on cleaning up malware infested systems:
http://rgharper.mvps.org/cleanit.htm

This one can help you avoid these programs from being installed in the first
place:

I've started getting this " Offset : 000139f8 " error recently as well . I've tried everything I can think of to clear it but there must be a backdoor program lurking somewhere in my system ! Any suggestions please ?

Regarding this ongoing Windows Explorer " Offset : 000139f8 " problem .

I caught this about a week ago and it seemed to be linked to a " Midaddle "
or " Ads234.com " issue . Although I've managed to get rid of references to
these the Explorer crash keep recurring both during internet access and also
while running other programs e.g. games or spreadsheets .

My system is XP Home edition SP2 up to date, with Norton Firewall and AV,
Windows Defender and Spyware Doctor . In the past week I've run in safe mode
several times and tried Ewido, Smitrem, HijackThis, Ad-Aware , Haxfix
etc.,etc .

After crashing the system seems to recover although taskbar icons go missing
and certain programs e.g. Works slow down . There must be a backdoor program
somewhere but I'm at a loss to find it . Any ideas ??????
