Explorer icons

I have lost all of the icons in the lefthand folders
window in both windows explorer and in internet explorer
when viewing the folders... All of the icons show fine in
the right window.

I have tried the fix the missing taskbar icons using the
suggested patch, but no joy. Anyone any ideas? If I go
to the task manager, I can see all the prgrammes that are
open, but the (eg - Outlook or MS Word, or I.Explore)
icons that usually appear on the taskbar when the
programs are active, just do not appear and I can't seem
to cure the wretched problem. If anyone has experienced
and cured this one, please reply ASAP.

Just go to the start menu-All programs and right click any
icon or program you want and drag to the task bar and
copy... good luck, Ken
