Explorer Icons Flicker

For the last couple of weeks (not really sure when it
started) when I open explorer and expand my computer, the
icons flicker back and forth from folder icons to icons.
The desktop icons seems to also flicker in unison. It
seems to be refreshing the icons. Anyone know how to
stop this behavior? Thanks!

You may want to check for spyware, adware, etc. It can do strange things. Of
course, you have current antivirus protection, and scan regularly, right?
