I have Windows XP with the latest service pack and updates (at least
according to WindowsUpdate.com) but I have a problem with Explorer. When I
right-click on a folder in any explorer window or dialog, I get an hourglass
and explorer.exe stops responding. I have to kill the explorer process to
start working again.
I recently installed WinZip and a couple of (legally purchased) games, and I
used a registry entry to help 'speed up moving and copying zip files' from
here: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
The zip entries were this:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.zip\CompressedFolder]
[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{E88DCCE0-B7B3-11d1-A9F0-00AA0060FA31}}
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CompressedFolder]
Other than these things, I can think of nothing that's changed recently.
Any pointers to info would be much appreciated!
