My system has decided to loose some files that allow me to
access the other files. It sends a message that my windows
installer V1.10.1029.0 is corrupted. Incorrect parameters.

I have reinstalled 2000 but it has the same problem. If I
open in safe mode, same problem. help.

Sounds like a Harddrive failure waiting to happen but you should try the
repair option just to see if it will pull you through.
Start the computer from the Windows 2000 CD-ROM.
At the "Welcome to Setup" screen, press R to repair. Follow the prompts to
replace missing or corrupted files.
