Hi all,
When I launch Windows Explorer with /e and /n switches, it loads
Internet Explorer. Why?

D@ny,

Post the full command-line. Also, have you tried WinKey + E key sequence?

When I press WinKey + E, Windows Explorer (explorer.exe) is normally
loaded.
Instead, if I go to Start, Run and type

explorer /e
or
explorer /n

mentioned in http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=314853, it
loads Internet Explorer, because there is "Microsoft Internet Explorer"
in the title bar, but it normally shows files and folders.

I have WinXP Pro SP2.

Does the same thing on my machine as well, but when I look at the processes,
there is no "iexplorer.exe" running even though Internet Explorer is in the
Title bar and in the Help menu then is no "About Internet Explorer", just
looks like a help menu for Windows Explorer. But when I use:

explorer /e, c:\
explorer /n, c:\

There is no Internet Explorer in the Title bar.

So it's only the title bar, which does not matter much. Here is a note from
David Candy:

- - -
Both Internet Explorer and Explorer can browse the net or local files. They
both look like IE when browsing the net and both look like explorer when
browsing the hard drive. Addins are added in to both of them.
- - -

None of the functionalities are affected, BTW.
