explorer.exe error

I have used windows 2000 pro. When i am working with my
computer suddenly i got the explorer.exe erreo i.e he
instruction at 0x00000000 referenced memory at 0x00000000
could not be read.
Then i have updated my OS to XP , now too i got this
error. Whts the solution 4 this.

Please provide more info than that. What are you doing when this
happens, what applications are you using, when does this happen the most
often, etc. Also, have you installed any Service Packs or updates
(especailly Service Pack 2)? You may want to try that first. If all
else fails, you can backup your data, format the hard drive, and install
Windows clean. Then put your programs and data back on.
