explorer.exe crash on mpeg,mp3,wmv etc

at least 50% of the time when i click on a media type
file ( mp3,wmv,mpeg,avi ) explorer.exe crashes.. im fully
updated on everything even drivers

Most likely a problem with the Media files. You can always remove the Web View for the Media file types. This is what is causing Windows Explorer to crash. Done here in the registry:

Start | Run | regedit | OK | Navigate to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MPlayer\shellex\PropertySheetHandlers\MediaPage

Back up then remove the value in this key. If that doesn't remove the Web View for the Media Type then put it back by double-clicking on the backup reg file. It should though unless of course the PropertySheet Handler for Media types is elsewhere. But all-in-all the issue you're experiencing is probably due to corrupted media files.
