Explorer,exe craches in WinXp

Every time when I try to open Explorer.exe by WinHotKey+E or from Start
+All Programs+Accessories+Windows Explorer, I always get the error
message and the Explorer.exe carches. This occurs after the Windows
Media Player auto-update failed. I tried to clean the SpyWares using
Ad-Aware SE Personal from Lavasoft, but it didn't solve the issue. Can
anybody help on it? Many thanks.

Try system resotre and if that didn't help then write back with more info
about your system and the exact error you get also look in the event viewer
for more error message (X) and post them back here in your next message.
Have you tried to scan for viruses and malwares in safe Mode?.
