Explorer Error

L

Laursie

I've never had any problems with Vista since I purchased it on a new computer
system around 7 months ago until lastnight.

For some reason, a box appeared titled "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime
Library" and containing the message: "Program: C:\Windows\Explorer.EXE

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

When you click on the OK button it closes ALL windows down for a few seconds
and then reloads the desktop and everything into the system tray. The entire
system is running as slow as you can possibly imagine as well, even with
email-downloads, etc.

Please please help!!!

Hi,

First thing to try is system restore since it just started. Failing that,
you will need to isolate what recently installed software bits (be it a
program or an update to an existing one - suspect your antivirus product
first believe it or not) is interfering with the explorer shell.
