In the past I've viewed my Outlook Express .dbx files at this location
(where their supposed to be).
C;\docs &settings\user\local settings\apps
data\identies\{2c7......}\Microsoft\oe

A "search" also shows the files are located as above. However, the problem
is that Explorer does not show anything past ....\{2c7.....}. What
happened??? Files are not hidden.

Do you mean you can only get as far as
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\Local Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{GUID}

In the following, change Your Name Here and {GUID} to the appropriate name
and alpha/numeric and then paste into Start | Run...

C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\Local Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{GUID}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Local Settings is hidden, if you got that far you should be able to see
every thing else.
