Explorer does not show files after burning CD-R

Hi,
I used the native cd writing wizard to burn some data files on to CD-R. However, Windows Explorer does not show the files. I use XP SP1a.
I can see it on another computer's WIN ME Explorer.
 
A bit more info on this problem. It seems that writing on CD RW disc works fine but not CD-R. Has anyone come across this problem and knows how to solve this mystery?
