Explorer as default browser

For some online updates the browers defaults to Netscape
and I cannot open the file.

Where do I go to make Explorer the default browser for
all uses?

Open IE. Click TOOLS -- INTERNET OPTIONS

Select the Programs Tab -- under which you will see a check box to have IE
check if its you default browser.

Click OK and close IE. When you open it again it should check then ask if
you want IE to be your default browser.

Do you have the option checked under Internet Options > Programs?

In Internet Options - Program, check the box 'Internet explorer should
check to see if it is default'. Next time you start it, it will then
ask if you want to make it default. You may have to take opposite
action in Netscape's Preferences depending on how old a version it is
