explorer always running

my computer is very slow, so i looked at processes in task manager and
explorer is 99, why is it doing this?

9 out of 10 times it's malware... Try a scan first:

If that's not the issue then post back but that seems to be the most common
reason for extreme CPU usage associated with the explorer.exe process.
