Explorer 6 abort

Running EXP 6 under XP professional, I get frequent aborts
when streaming radio using Internet broadband (512K).

The first screen is the usual one "Internet Explorer has
encountered a problem..."

Next is:
AppName: iexplorer.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106
ModName: Unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0
Offset: 00000000

Next is:
Exception Info:
Code: 0xc0000005
Flags: 0x00000000
Zero record & address

Plus loads of other stuff.

Has anybody encountered this and what may be the solution.
