When i click on a folder to open it, the explore page opens. I have checked
and it is the default action on the list if you right click it.

Now before everyone tells me to search the previous topics, I have!
The only ones that i can find are about the search window opening and they
suggest a registry fix. I also have checked this registry fix and it is
already set in my registry.

Any clues? I really want the "Open" command to be the default one

Go to regedit by typing regedit in Start > RUN

CLick "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Shell" > Right side, The value of "Default" should
be "none" [without quotes], if not change it to none.

As mentioned, I have done the searches and tried that registry fix. My
default value for that is already set to none.

Andrew,

Click Start, Run and type:

reg delete "HKCR\Folder\shell" /ve /f

Press Enter.

This might work:

Folder Options, File Types tab, Folder, Advanced, Open, Set Default
button. I haven't tried this, but it looks like a good candidate.

Ramesh,
Spot on and thank you! Did the Job nicely.
