It managed to do stuff to my computer BEFORE MCAfee
VirusScan ASAP detected it.

McAfee says it is a low risk. Howeve my about:blank page,
when I open MSIE, that is, the home page, takes me to an
html page that advetises stuff (including spyware removal
programs). Not sure if it is local on my computer, or on
the net. I'll check.

Any suggestions on returning about:blank to normal
operation, so that my home page is a blank screen as
before? The Tools > Internet Options didn't work. I tried
clearing the msie cache and cookies, too.
