I have a PC (main comp) and a laptop. i updated the MSAS on my PC and it
worked fine without any problems, but when i updated it on my laptop it wont
work. when i doubleclick the MSAS icon, it starts up (reading plugins or
something) until it comes to "Loading non-spyware signatures..." i get a
popup saying the following:

_________
This version of MSAS has expired as of E 31.07.2006.

I have read the treads written here and tried all of them even if its not
exactly the same problem but still i cant get rid of this one... i've
updated, deleted and reinstalled, cleaned my reg and temp/msi files.. u name
it, i've done it.. but still the damn thing wont work! .. even tried to
uninstall the MSAS on both of my computers, and downloaded only one file from
MS and installed it on both computers, and again, it worked fine on my PC but
not on my laptop. i've downloaded it also from majorgeeks but no difference,
ive checked my bios settings for date and time, and in windows and they are
correct, i've scanned my computer for viruses with several antivirus
programs, i've searched for spyware on my computer with several antispyware
programs and they didn't find anything... it's clean.. but the s**t wont
work...

Help me... MSAS is the only good AS program i've allways used and dont want
to change!! ...

//goin nuts!

Thanks for being the first user to post this bug with the new build. (We
had no expectation of it being fixed, it is just refreshing to find
something "new" here.)

This appearance indicates that either your date is set incorrectly--and I
see that you've checked this, or:

You have set the long and/or short date format for your locale in Windows to
a non-default setting.

Start, Control Panel, date, time, language....., Regional and Language
options, click Customize next to the language chosen, click the date tab.

Now reset the long and short date formats to the topmost choice in the
dropdown boxes.
Hit apply/ok to exit and record the change.

This should take care of it.
