Exit Windows and Wav file

I have changed the default beeps when exiting Windows to a ca. 6 sec
wav file. I note when shutting down that the file plays, but I also
get a brief on-screen options table (indicating an error). The system
then shuts down.

I assume that the system does not like the 6 sec file. Is there
anything that I can do to ensure that the options table does not
appear.

Can I get away with using a shorter wav file. If so, any idea how long
the sound can last before triggering the options table.

Thanks

Sp.

You can get away with no sound.

Hi,

I'd like to use my wav file. Any suggestions for avoiding the options
table?

Best wishes.

Sp.

Ps. I am thinking of shortening the wav file

I don't know what options table you mean, but select (click on) the sound
you want to change and then click Browse. Go to and select the sound.

The message that comes up tells me that a programme is still running.
That must be the player that is playing the wav file.

As a matter of interest what player is used to pay the Microsoft
default sounds. I get no message when the defaults are used.

Thanks
