exit powerpoint when slide show is done

Hello,

I will be giving a presentation in a couple of weeks. I have it done
and it looks great. The problem is when I am done with the slide show
I always see the "End of slide show, click to exit" screen. I really
don't like that screen. Is there something I can do so when the slide
show is over PowerPoint 2003 SP2 exits?

Thanks,

It is irritating isn't it? To turn it off Tools->Options->View->untick End
with black slide. I also like to turn off 'Show popup toolbar' which are
those buttons in the bottom left hand corner.

Hi As Lucy says but also a couple of extra points, If you want Powerpoint to
close completely when the show ends save as a powerpoint show (*.pps) as well
as unticking the black slide ending box and open the pres by double clicking
the icon.

Also ticking the box needs to be done on the computer to be used so if you
are using a different computer for the presentation you will have to do it
again.

Thank you both for the information. It will be helpful. It would be
nice if the unticking the black slide ending box was a part of the
presentation so I don't have to mess with the client's PC. Maybe
someone can make this a feature request?

Thanks again,

No maybe about it. It's been requested many a time.

Another possibility; if you save the presentation as a PPS (Powerpoint Show)
and are running it in kiosk mode, you can put a rectangle or other graphic over
the entire last slide and assign it an End Show action. User clicks anywhere
on the slide and the show ends, no annoying black slide at the end.
