Excluding weekend dates in a column

I use a sheet to keep track of sales on a daily basis per sales rep. I have a different sheet for each employee. On each sheet in column "A" I have the dates of the week. Is there a formula I can use to "copy" down that will input all the week days and will exclude the weekend dates (and possibly holiday dates)?
