Exclude software applied to users

Hi,

We are running Active Directory in a Windows 2003 Server
environment.

On some common computers running Windows XP Pro in our
organisation, we do not want applications applied to
users to be installed when the user log on.

Is it possible to exclude common computers from
applications applied to users?

This is done by Group Polices and OU Design as well filtering of group
policies.
