Exchange should detect previous replies

OK, I receive an email, My colleague is CC'd on the same email. My colleague
sends a response. At some point later I send a response. I would like
exchange to warn me that someone else has already sent a response, if
possible showing me the repsonce they sent. This is to prevent contradictory
responses being in error.

If you were not copied on the response for a particular reason, then I can't
see how you should/could be warned that a response had been sent.
Also, if you want to make a suggestion for Exchange you should do it in the
Exchange newsgroup, not Outlook.

Sorry for using the wrong news group, I couldn't find Exchange in the list of
options

I was copied in on the response, that's how I would expect exchange to
notice, I have far too many emails flying in and out of my inbox to notice
all of the emails my colleagues send. Espically if the 2 emails are sent
within a timescale to short for my inbox to have updated with the conflicting
email.
