exchange and winXP home

we have two contractors who use their own laptops, which
both have win XP home. we set up exchange accounts for
them, and they were able to log on to get e-mail when on
our lan, they can log on to OWA, and log on via Citrx.
but suddenly they cannot log onto there e-mail account,
while on the lan, but can log on the other 2 methods. is
there a 30 day license for Exchange for this, or what? we
have win2k domain and exchange 2000 all service packed up.
 
Have you tried recreating the mail profile already?
Control Panel-> Mail-> button Show Profiles...
