We have recently upgraded to 2003 from 5.5 Exchange Mail Server. I am
having problems with our global list appearing for off site employees.
When attempting to connect to the address book outlook freezes.
Eventually I am able to get into the address book and nothing appears
under the global list. This list is shared from the exchange to all
employees.
We have tried opening firewall ports and no luck.
Has anyone experienced this problem or have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Jess

Hmm, why would you expose your exchange server to the internet?

If the solution works in the office, then it's simple to allow the
remote users to VPN into the office and use Outlook in all of its glory.

Did you do a "tools, send receive, download address book" on the client?

Other suggestions:
Post your question where Exchange gurus hang out -- there are bunches of
Exchange newsgroups.
Start here:
microsoft.public.exchange.admin
microsoft.public.exchange.design
microsoft.public.exchange.misc
microsoft.public.exchange.setup
