Exchange 2003 recurring meeting participant deleted in OWA shows inOutlook 2007

Is this a known bug or am I hallucinating?

- Create a recurring meeting in OWA (say, daily recurrence for 3 days)
and add a required participant.
- Open one occurrence of this meeting in OWA and remove the required
participant.
- Open this occurrence in Outlook. The removed participant is still
there!
- Modify another occurrence of this series in Outlook (say, move start
time)
- Open the original occurrence in OWA. Now the removed participant is
back even in OWA!

Thank you,

Joseph.

Is Outlook using Cached Exchange mode or not? If yes, does disabling it
make a difference? My thought is that you're making the changes and they
don't have time to propagate to the mailbox cache so Outlook, using the
cached data is seeing the original (with the uninvited guest) and using that
when making the change (updating the mailbox and readding the person because
it's in the data Outlook's sending to the mailbox). I could be wrong, but
it sounds plausible to me.

Thanks a lot Brian for the response.

I've used cached mode, but disabling it did not make a difference.

It does not look this is a timing issue. For example, when in OWA I
change occurrence subject, I see the changed subject for this
occurrence in Outlook, but the participant removed in OWA is still
shown in Outlook.

Joseph.
