Roady, Your quote

"Why do you want them to store their items in a pst-file
when you have an Exchange server? State your reasons and
I'm sure I can find lots of counter reasons or otherwise
Lanwench will help me with that ;-)"

The main reason is that:
1. Exchange supports only 8GB for Storage(as pst or other)
I have more than 30 users - I think for all these users, 8
gb is not sufficient.
2. Accessing mail directly from Exchange and Accessing
mail from outlook(as pst) - there is a huge difference
isn't it(I mean slowing down the mail access)

Pls advice

Hi Anver,

1) Is it 8GB for SBS? For 30 users that is still a lot. We've got 300 users
and are running Exchange Standard (16GB). With 8GB and 30 users it means
they can have over 250MB mailboxes. A lot of that probably isn't "active
mail" anymore and can then be archived to a pst-file. For cleaning tips also
see
http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/cleanmailbox.htm

2) No, there isn't. Of course depending a bit on the resources on your
Exchange server you shouldn't notice much of a delay in this (only when
people are really pumping the Exchange server with mails to sent). You are
also upgrading to Outlook 2003, right? Then you can enable Cached Exchange
Mode; a copy of the mailbox is placed on the local harddrive so you can
enjoy both the local speed and the advantages of sharing and "access
anywhere".

Enjoy your weekend!

Thanks Roady,
Regarding the "addin BCC or CC software" from
sperrysoftware,I have visited their site and downloaded
some info, but can I have some exceptional rule to this.
This software just like as a rule in outlook isn't it(send
a copy of all email)
I mean I don't want to send a particular email to as cc or
bcc can I have an option or rule on this..

(hope I am not disturbing you-pls)

Hi Anver,

Well a CC can be done by a rule indeed. A BCC however can't be done by a
rule and therefor Mike Sperry created this add-in.
Currently I don't think it allows exceptions; just conditions. You can
always contact him and state it as a whish.
