Excessive server traffic?

We have a small office LAN that has slowed down quite a bit. Looking at our
DSL router, the traffic seems excessive. We shut down each PC one by one,
leaving only the Windows Server 2003 domain controller, and the traffic
continued. Once we shut down the server, all the traffic cleared up. Once we
powered up again, the traffice returned. When we look at perfmon, the server
is 98% idle, no active tasks doing much of anything. Does anyone know how we
can check to find out what the server is doing, or communicating with?

Thanks!

Have you run a full virus scan? We were hit a while ago where the network
bogged right down and the activity lights on our switched were solid.

No, we haven't run a virus scan. Do you know a good virus program that's
compatible with Windows Server 2003? I tried one we used on our W2K server
but its not compatible.

Thanks!
