Excel

When someone sends me an attachment in pdf format, when I
open it, it automatically converts to an excel file, and I
can't read it. Does anyone have a solution or similar
problem. I called Adobe, and they said I needed to
contact Microsoft, but don't know who to call. Thanks.

Does this mean that excel opens those files that have extensions .pdf?

If yes, you could try this.

Windows start button|find/search
look for *.pdf

when you find one, shift-right click on it and choose "Open With"
point at Adobe Reader (AcroRead32, I think).

And check that box at the bottom left:
Always use this program to open this type of file.

If that doesn't work, you could try to re-register excel:
Close Excel and
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /unregserver
then
Windows Start Button|Run
excel /regserver

But I think reinstalling Adobe Reader would make it own the .pdf extension.
