Hi - out there - if not too much trouble - I really need someone's help.
I am currently studying for the MOS Excel 2002 Expert certification
exam and I am using a DDC adaptive testprep resource to prepare for
the exam. The exam accesses a test resource folder that contains 14
*.txt, *.html, & *.xls files that are used to perform various MOS
Excel 2002 Expert exam tasks such as importing, exporting, creating a
workspace, and much more.
Here is the problem - I not sure, but I think somehow I corrupted my
Excel normal template. Every time I start a new instance of an Excel
Workbook (Start|Programs|Excel) or use a desktop or task bar short cut
- each new instance includes each of the 14 files located in the test
resource folder. Before I am able to create a new instance (file|New)
or open(File|Open) an existing instance I must first remove all the
files by holding the shift and selecting close all. After I remove all
the opened files - I have no problem creating a new workbook (file,
new) or opening an existing workbook (file, open). I researched this
problem using the Excel - Help feature - with no luck.
I have one more problem. For some reason Excel will not allow me to
trace precedents or dependents. When I attempt to use this feature - I
receive the following error message "the macro excelPrecedents" cannot
be found" or "the macro excelDependents" can not be found". I am,
however, able to access error checking and trace error with incident.
Thank you in advance for your timely response to either of these two
(2) problems.
Mucho thanks - minombreeswayne
