Excel worksheet display ####

I have problem with my excel workshhet. When I change setting in the Regional
and language options in windows xp (--advanced--> select a language to match
language version of the non-unicode programs you want to use-->from Englsih
(United States) to Chinese PR), some of the cells (especially number) in the
excel worksheet display as ##### .
Why this can be happend and how to solve the problem. This is because the
excel worksheet is a share file, not all the users are using the same
languade for non-unicode program.

Thank you

##### indicates that the column is not wide enough to display the value in
the specified format. You must either widen the column or change the format
to fit.

thank you for you help. But i have widen the column length, the cell still
display ####. Is that possible caused by the language setting for non-inicode
programme?

First, I don't use unicode characters--so you'll have to test it.

When you select the cell that shows the ####, do you see a number in the formula
bar? If yes, try widening the the column even more?

If that doesn't work, how is the cell formatted?
If cell is formatted as time or date and you have a negative value, then you can
see ####'s in that cell.

And if the cell is formatted as text, try changing the format to General.

These are common suggestions but I'm not sure how they'll work with your unicode
characters.
