Excel tries to open temporary.xls Internet.xls, documents.xls, etc etc

On Win2k, O97SR2, using Outlook 2000. The user tries to
open an excel spreadsheet attachment and gets several
errors Could not find Temporary.xls, Internet.xls, etc
etc.

I realize this is a known issue but am asking if a
workaround has ever been found. Microsoft does not seem
to mave much information available on this. A reinstall
of O97 got rid of the error for a few weeks but it came
back. Any information would be much appreciated.

My suggestion would be to install a newer version of
Miscoroft office. You need to weigh the cost of the new
version versus all of the time you take trying to repair
what is already fixed in the newer versions.

What is your time really worth?

Gee, thanks for those words of wisdom. What budget
center do you wish me to charge the upgrade costs too?
Or will you be paying by check or credit card?
