Excel Sorting Breaks Formulas

G

GreenWoman

My spreadsheet has a number of formulas (IF, and IF with embedded AND
formulas) that refer to cells in the same row. When I sort the rows, some
(but not all) of the formulas look at cells in the correct column, but in the
wrong row. To correct this, I have to go to the top row, check all the
formulas, and "fill down" to reset the formulas below to look at their proper
references.

Are the formulas anchored ie =A$1? If you have those rather than =A1 style
formulas then they won't change when sorted.
