excel rounding off Zero of zip codes -don't want that

how do you excel wizards deal with that from a beginner's
point of view. once i export the data into excel the
beginning zeros of zip codes drops off from view although
it appears if i click on the cell.

any suggestions?

Right click on the cell or cells you want as zip codes and
go to fromat cells. On the number tab, select special on
the left and zip code on the right.
