Excel - Refresh Data field (desperate for an aswer)

We're using Outlook 2003 / Excel. The refresh data option (DATA / Refresh
Data) use to work fine on my Excel documents. All of a sudden the field is
now
greyed out, and thus can't be selected...

Anyone know why, or how to correct this?
 
....ok, I've figured it out. If a cell with numbers/figures is NOT selected,
then the Refresh Data button will be greyed out. Once the cell is selected,
all is ok!
