Chris Huff

When opening a particular excel spreadsheet i get
an 'Excel.exe - Application Error',' The instruction at
0x3004c522 referenced memory at 0xffffffff. The memory
could not be read.' Then excel shuts down. I have run
through all the processes on how to open/fix corrupted
excel files to no avail. I have even restored it up from
tape and it is not opening from five different, days of
tapes. I have tried to open it on multiple computers, in
2000 and xp versions of office. I need this file. ALl
help is appreciated.

Chris,

PMFJI, he was referring to OpenOffice, a product by Sun, that is another
office type product. Their software is good at opening corrupt MS Office XL
files. So you might be able to visit Sun's Office www.openoffice.org,
download their software, open your file, and resave it. You might find that
you have then cleaned your corrupt file.

You might wish to visit http://www.jkp-ads.com/CorruptFiles.htm for further
explanation.

Hope that helps.
